
At this year's POPAI D-A-C-H Awards, Thimm was able to score points and win in five categories with its solutions. Among other things, the floor display for the Share brand for dm drugstores impressed the jury and won silver in the „Personal accessories, paper, office, stationery“ category.
The winners of the POPAI D-A-CH Awards were announced on the evening of 9 June at the gala event in Düsseldorf and Thimm was delighted five times over. The company developed an innovative solution for the launch of the stationery range of the leading social impact brand Share in dm drugstores: In the large 1/2 floor displays, the large number of different stationery items such as pads, notepads and notebooks, coloured pencils and ballpoint pens.
The floor displays consist entirely of sustainable corrugated board. They are designed for long-lasting use in retail and can be flexibly restocked after sales. In addition to the silver award, the share displays on Instagram were voted the Audience Award 2022 elected.
Gold for packaging and display
With the packaging for the Brit Care brand from the Czech family-run company Vafo Praha s.r.o., a manufacturer of premium pet food, Thimm won gold in the „Travel, Leisure and Automotive, Sports and Games“ category. The three-part packaging consists of a inlay, a hinged lid box with laser die-cuts and digitally printed outer packaging. The products are securely fixed in the inlay made of sustainable corrugated cardboard and presented in a customer-friendly way. These die-cuts give the packaging a second use as an innovative cat toy.
The company also won gold for a display for the effect brand in the „Drinks, Tobacco“ category. The displays for MBG International Premium Brands GmbH were developed for a time-limited promotion. The aim was to generate attention for the competition for the energy drink effect in the retail trade. The prizes, a Branded punching bag and boxing gloves were integrated into the 1/4 displays as eye-catchers. A support cross made of corrugated cardboard, which was placed inside the punching bag, gave it its usual, filled shape.
Allos Hof-Manufaktur is an organic food producer in Europe. Thimm developed displays for the secondary placement of Tartex spreads in the retail trade and was awarded silver in the „Food, everyday consumer goods and confectionery“ category. The 1/4 base displays consist of two parts. The base is a conical plinth that visually emphasises the upper part of the display. There is space for 48 products in an oversized Tartex jar as a product-supporting frame construction. The top section is equipped with extended base flaps so that the stable displays with a weight of up to 17 kilograms when fully loaded can be realised.
The efficient display for the New Flag GmbH includes hair care products from the invisibobble, Tangle Teezer and pure97 Kids brands and was awarded silver in the „Beauty and Fragrances“ category. As the products of all three brands are different in their application, the aim was to ensure clear differentiation in the displays as well. This is achieved by Three separate floors realised: In the semi-open display shell, each brand is visually separated from the others by panels and bars. Individual cut-outs for the products ensure a harmonious look within each brand area.
