Thorsten Kühn has been the new CEO and Managing Director at Schur Flexibles since 1 April 2018. His appointment comes as part of the integration of „UNI Packaging“, a French packaging specialist for cheese and dairy products, into the company.
The company, which has only existed since 2012 Schur Flexibles Group belongs to the parent company Lindsay Goldberg, which also made the acquisition of UNI Packaging. In recent months, Schur Flexibles has also acquired Cats Flexibles Packaging, Hänsel Flexible Packaging and Nimax from the Clondalkin Group.
Schur Flexibles expects the forthcoming integration of the French company as a Manufacturer of flexible packaging an addition to the business portfolio and more local presence in France. UNI Packaging's expertise in pouches is also to be utilised. The company announcement also emphasises that Schur Flexibles will now be more active in the area of Packaging printing will become. All printing technologies are on offer, from roto and flexo printing to offset and digital printing.
For the current year, Schur Flexibles expects, according to its own information Group sales of more than 500 million euros. The cheese and dairy products business will account for 100 million euros. The confectionery market is expected to account for 90 million euros.
