If fruit and vegetables are not packaged in a modified atmosphere or airtight in a vacuum, self-adhesive labels are the ideal way to prevent the tray contents from falling out or being removed. They can be fitted with a tear tab and a reclosure option and are suitable for both square and round trays.
The TopClose process is implemented on the L 330 conveyor belt labeller and makes it possible to print labels with variable data and check the print. The label closes the trays automatically as they pass through, after the trays have been fed in manually or transferred from an upstream module. The The conveyor belt labeller can be quickly and easily adapted to different tray shapes and sizes without the need to change tools possible. Conversion to alternative products and the insertion of new labels also mean minimal downtime, as the labeller is extremely easy to adjust thanks to intuitive position indicators.
