UPM is the only company in the forest and paper industry to be listed in the global and European Dow Jones Sustainability Index for 2024/2025.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) evaluates the sustainability performance of companies in the environmental, social and corporate governance dimensions.

This commitment is also reflected in the updated strategy of the company. UPM's business portfolio is based on sustainable raw materials and fossil-free energy and positions the company for the future. Growth in the areas of renewable fibres, advanced materials and decarbonisation solutions, while graphic paper continues to generate strong cash flows.

UPM has also successfully issued a new green bond with a volume of EUR 600 million in 2024 under its Green Finance Framework. UPM has thus strengthened its position as one of the largest issuers of green corporate bonds in the Nordic countries with a total volume of 2,350 million euros.
