Varo removes pallet stretch film fully automatically

Digital and innovative developments are now taking over some of the work that was previously done manually in the warehousing and logistics sector. Varo's new de-foiling technology, for example, ensures that stretch film is removed from pallets fully automatically.

Digital and innovative developments have become indispensable in the warehousing and logistics industry and are now taking over a large part of the work that was previously done manually. Varo's new de-foiling technology, for example, ensures that stretch film is removed from pallets fully automatically.

The removal of stretch film is still largely done by hand. In many companies, this means hundreds, if not thousands of pallets every day, from which the film has to be laboriously removed manually. This places a heavy burden on employees and there is a high risk of injury when pallets are packed high.

The engineers of the Danish specialist Varo have now developed a solution: Fully automatic defoiling of pallets in a matter of minutes up to a height of 2.70 metres.

Regardless of how the pallet is packed - the Varo system removes the stretch film fully automatically and disposes of it for recycling in a single operation. The de-foiling capacity is high: up to 1,000 pallets a day - around the clock if required.

After a good start at Fachpack, the company intends to now concentrating on the German market and is also presenting its technology at interpack in Düsseldorf.

„We see great potential here and, given the shortage of personnel capacity, rising labour costs and the high level of physical strain, the fully automatic defoiling technology pays off in every respect thanks to its universal application possibilities and enormous productivity.“

Michael Andersen, Sales Manager

A large international company has already made its decision and plans to use the Danish technology at all its locations. The advisory and technical support provided by the Danish specialists should now ensure that a well-functioning and economical overall solution solves the defoiling problem once and for all.
