As part of the partnership with OMR, Vytal Global, provider of reusable software in the field of circular economy, is implementing a pilot project at the OMR Festival 2024. This cooperation is intended to show how reusable concepts can be implemented more efficiently at major events.

OMR, the platform for the digital business world, organises the OMR Festival, the largest gathering of digital, media and marketing leaders in Europe. In this year's premiere, Vytal and OMR are working together to offer visitors a fully digital, multi-way experience. Guests of the festival can Process payments and deposit returns at two return points completely digitally via an NFC wristband, which significantly reduces waiting times and makes cash obsolete. The system is seamlessly integrated into the established payment system from GET (Global Event Technologies), which has already been used successfully in previous years. The pilot project will be tested for the first time at the OMR Festival at two of five return locations for reusable crockery.

„OMR is a role model for us in completely rethinking and trying things out and inventing a new market. Our vision is to rethink business and create a software-based platform that will enable all forms of circularity in the future. We are proud to be working with an innovation pioneer like OMR in this endeavour.“

Vytal's solution is a digitally traceable process from start to finish. The Fully automated return and deposit refund of reusable packaging runs completely digitally and without personnel. Vytal enables the organisers to make considerable savings in personnel costs as well as in the training and qualification of staff on site. In addition, the completely cashless process, for which the OMR Festival has long been known, but which is significantly improved by Vytal, eliminates all cash handling risks and makes the process much safer for the organiser and the guests. The basis for this innovation is Vytal's software, which enables secure tracking along the entire value chain, as well as thehe combination of QR codes and smart labels, which ensure that all products are reliably recorded.

With this offering, Vytal is not only the most innovative provider on the market, but also makes the implementation of reusable events as easy as possible for organisers. Through Vytal Events & Entertainment, the company covers all aspects of the event organisation. from delivery and distribution to the return and cleaning of reusable containers as a service and simultaneously records all quantities along the value chain digitally and seamlessly. Organisers thus receive a convenient full-service solution and benefit to the maximum from the added value of digital traceability, such as precise and secure logistics and proof of hygiene that can be provided at any time by means of a cleaning protocol for each individual reusable container.

The Smart Cup developed jointly by Vytal and Pepsi, which was presented for the first time at Internorga 2024 in March, will also be used at the OMR Festival 2024. As a beverage partner, tickets for the UCL final in London will be raffled off exclusively via the QR code on the reusable cups. This is how the Pepsi x Vytal Smart Cup also enters the circulation during OMR.
