Thanks to the successful development of environmentally friendly foams, W.AG can offer the cases in its product series Organicline as a holistically sustainable complete solution with immediate effect. The company has expanded its inlay production to include the realisation of custom-fit foam inlays made from the biopolymer Arboblend.
The Thuringian company W.AG is expanding its Biopolymer Arboblend manufactured product range by Foam inserts for cases. W.AG presented this innovation at this year's Specialist pack presented. Previously, the company had already manufactured case half-shells from the material. Both private label and OEM customers of W.AG now have the opportunity to upgrade their products with holistically sustainable packaging that contributes to improving the eco-balance of the entire product life cycle.

"Our complete Organicline solutions proved to be a real crowd-puller at Fachpack. Numerous manufacturers from all key sectors of the industry showed concrete interest in the environmentally friendly cases and the new inlays made from the resource-saving foam material," reports W.AG Head of Development Björn Ullrich.
The biopolymer Arboblend was developed by the Ilsfeld-based company Tecnaro and consists of Up to 93 per cent from renewable raw materials. This is a mix of materials consisting of Glucose, natural waxes, minerals and natural fibreswhich can be processed using established plastics technology processes. In 2020, the material received the seal of approval from the international brand assessment organisation Green Brands.
While Arboblend gives the housings and half-shells of the Organicline cases and boxes a Robustness comparable to polypropylene it enables the realisation of precise, firm, sterile and water-repellent foam inlays in inlay production.
According to Björn Ullrich, "they are in no way inferior to conventional inlays in terms of quality and reliability and can be on identically adjusted machines are manufactured. Our new Organicline foam is also recyclable and is produced using the extrusion process - a technology that produces low levels of pollutants in a closed CO2-cycle and does not require any chemical additives". W.AG currently offers the sustainable inlays in four different colours.
