Yaskawa: Many robots, one controller

Circular conveyor tracking is a particularly new feature: the MP3300iec RBT comprehensive „Singular Control“ controller enables no longer just the automatic tracking of linear conveyor belt movements, but also of circular conveyor belt movements.. Using a corresponding radius calculation, the software can determine the exact position of each product on the belt and position the picker(s) precisely in milliseconds. This results in new advantages, particularly for packaging applications and other picking applications, such as the possibility of a more compact design or the avoidance of waste products.

Implementation without own programming device

The prerequisite for the ‚Singular Control‘ solution is the MP3300iec RBT compact machine controller, a model variant of the MP3000 product series. Standardised application programming is carried out using a single software tool with standard PLCopen and Yaskawa-specific function blocks. Machine builders and users can use this solution to implement robots in existing architectures, without the need for a dedicated programming device or proprietary robot programming language.

The Motoman robots can currently be operated with the DX200, YRC1000 and YRC1000 Micro series controllers. into the machine architectures at the click of a mouse, that they can control IEC 61131 programmers with the familiar PLC Open function blocks.
