The Swedish Trioworld Group has founded a joint venture with the Indian packaging specialist Filmtec. The aim is to strengthen access to high-growth markets in Asia, the Middle East and Africa. The transaction was completed on 30 May 2025.

According to Trioworld, the joint venture with Filmtec is an important step towards international expansion. Filmtec, an India-based manufacturer of ultra-high-performance stretch films and shrink films, is contributing its technological expertise and regional market knowledge to the partnership. For Trioworld, this opens up access to the rapidly growing packaging market in India and beyond.

India is recognised as an important location for industrial manufacturing and international logistics. The presence at strategically important ports such as Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata supports Trioworld in efficiently organising supply chains in the region and opening up new sales markets. The joint venture thus offers a stable starting point for expansion into Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
