On 31 July 2025, Sabert Corporation Europe completed the acquisition of Colpac Limited, a British manufacturer of sustainable paper packaging for the food-to-go and industrial sectors.
Sabert has announced the acquisition of long-established Colpac Limited. Colpac was founded in 1937 and is headquartered in Flitwick, Bedfordshire. Over the decades, the family-run company has developed into a recognised supplier of innovative, high-quality and sustainable food packaging. The acquisition expands Sabert's presence in the UK, Ireland and Europe and strengthens its global paper packaging offering.
Expansion of market presence and product portfolio
According to Sabert, the acquisition represents a strategic milestone. Colpac's expertise in design, manufacturing and customer relations ideally complements the Group's existing strengths. Together, they will be able to offer a broader product portfolio, expanded design resources, greater agility and improved production capacities in the UK.
Paul McCann, CEO of Sabert Corporation, said the merger marked an important step in the company's investment strategy in the UK and the expansion of sustainable product solutions. Andrew Grimbaldeston, Managing Director of Colpac, emphasised that Colpac's experience and expertise in paper packaging is a perfect complement to Sabert's existing portfolio.
