Steriline, manufacturer of aseptic packaging lines for injectable pharmaceutical products, has finalised the acquisition of ISS srl (Innovative Security Solutions), thereby strengthening its research and development division.
Founded in 2006 as a spin-off from the Politecnico di Milano, ISS srl manufactures 3D vision-based guidance systems for robots and has developed both robotic systems and technologies for AI-based image processing. Steriline has been working with ISS srl since 2014 to integrate its solutions into sterile filling processes in the pharmaceutical sector.
„This new structure will allow us to strengthen our position in a rapidly evolving sector where digitalisation, artificial intelligence and advanced automation are redefining production models and quality control strategies. By pooling expertise, resources and vision, we want to be active shapers of this change and offer the market solutions that anticipate the future of production in the sterile environment.“
Ilaria Fumagalli, CEO of Steriline
The acquisition of ISS srl consolidates the existing cooperation and creates the basis for a future with the aim of developing technologies that further increase the quality, traceability and safety standards offered.
„Through this corporate transaction, Steriline Srl is now the sole shareholder of ISS srl. This is a strategic step on the path of growth and innovation that both companies are pursuing in the field of automation for the pharmaceutical industry,“ says Pietro Brivio, CEO of ISS srl.
