The demand for high-quality plastic recyclates is continuously increasing in Europe, prompting companies like GreenDot to expand their LDPE recycling capacities. With the acquisition of Anviplas Spain, an established specialist in LDPE recycling, GreenDot is strengthening its presence in Southern Europe and increasing its recycling capacity by 30,000 tonnes per year.

The integration of Anviplas Spain in Navarcles, Catalonia, is an important strategic step for GreenDot. The facility processes post-commercial and post-industrial films, utilising modern technologies to ensure consistent and high-performance material qualities. With over 35 years of experience, Anviplas brings deep technical expertise and a strong industrial tradition to the GreenDot network. Around 70 employees will become part of GreenDot's growing European activities.

Expansion of the European recycling platform

GreenDot now operates a total of six mechanical plastic recycling plants in Europe, including sites in Germany, Italy, and France. This expansion allows the company to achieve a combined recycling capacity of 175,000 tonnes per year. The portfolio includes LDPE, HDPE, and PP recycling, ensuring a reliable supply of high-quality recyclates.

Strengthening European recycling infrastructure

The acquisition of Anviplas Spain is more than just an operational expansion. It is a targeted step to strengthen the European recycling infrastructure at a time when regulatory requirements are being tightened. Laurent Auguste, CEO of GreenDot, emphasises that the integration of Anviplas Spain is another milestone in the company's strategy to establish a strong, interconnected European recycling platform. This platform supports Europe's transition to a true circular economy and increases supply chain resilience.
