Particularly in hot regions such as Southern Europe, Africa and the Middle East, companies in the food and beverage industry face the challenge of transporting their goods safely and stably. In this context, Orbis Europe has expanded its product portfolio with a temperature-resistant reusable collar frame.

Orbis Europe has developed a new generation of reusable pallet frames that boasts increased temperature resistance compared to previous models. This feature allows for the reliable transportation of aluminium cans, glass bottles, and PET bottles, even under extreme climatic conditions. Customers can choose between polypropylene recyclate and virgin material, offering flexibility in material selection.

Robust construction and easy integration

The new collar frame is robustly constructed and designed for use with pallets and slip sheets, thereby stabilising loads. Thanks to resistance to chemicals, insects, and water, as well as the metal coating and rounded edges that absorb impacts, the solution offers high protection for the transported goods. Furthermore, the collar frames can be easily integrated into existing automated processes and are available in sizes 1420 x 1120 mm and 1300 x 1120 mm. Stackability further simplifies handling.

Focus on sustainability

A central aspect of the new product development is sustainability. The shipping frame is 100 percent recyclable and meets the regulatory requirements of the EU Packaging Directive. Orbis also offers a buy-back option for old products that are reprocessed into new reusable solutions. This not only generates ecological but also economic benefits for users, as Jürgen J. Krahé, Senior Director at Orbis Europe, emphasises.

Support for international goods flows

With the new solution, Orbis supports companies in reliably designing international goods flows in the food and beverage industry. The smooth plastic surfaces of the top frames allow for easy cleaning, which is particularly advantageous for customers with high hygiene requirements. „Our products help our customers to operate in a resource-efficient and profitable manner,“ Krahé added.
