Ishida Europe, a supplier of weighing and packing machinery for the food industry, announces the appointment of Takayo Motegi as its new Managing Director. He succeeds Dave Tiso, who has successfully led the company since 2015 and will now continue to contribute to its strategic development as Chairman.
Takayo Motegi brings 30 years of experience within the Ishida Group, particularly in sales. This comprehensive expertise gives him a deep understanding of Ishida's global operations and customer-oriented corporate culture. Prior to his appointment as Managing Director of Ishida Europe, Motegi held several leadership positions, including six years as Managing Director of Ishida Thailand.
Strategic alignment and challenges
In his new role, Motegi will be responsible for implementing Ishida's global strategy in European markets. A key aspect of his duties will be to further expand Ishida's ability to respond to the ever-changing demands for automated weighing, filling, quality control, and packaging solutions. This also includes supporting Industry 4.0 processes and adapting to the needs of future food production.
Dave Tiso, who now serves as Chairman, expressed confidence that Motegi will build on the solid foundation and successfully lead Ishida into the future. Tiso had achieved consecutive record years for the company during his tenure and will continue to bring his expertise to Ishida's strategic development.
