With the Thimm Crossbox, Thimm Packaging Systems, a specialist in multi-material packaging systems, presents its next product innovation. What makes it special: The corrugated cardboard packaging has a one-piece, foldable base that can be effortlessly erected and folded up again with the help of an innovative X-shaped folding mechanism.
This makes the Crossbox a real all-rounder in the reusable system - the simple internal folding enables flat delivery and saves considerable transport and storage volume; when erected, the Crossbox serves as a Small and large load carriers for the safe transport of a wide range of products. Thanks to the closed and flat surface of the base, the container can be moved very easily without aids such as pallets. Combined with the low tare weight of the Crossbox, handling is noticeably easier. The construction consists of the One-piece base with X-fold, which is glued to the sides of a corrugated cardboard ring with tabs and locks into place automatically when erected.
Unique product solution
The container can optionally be fitted with lid flaps. The height of the container can also be varied between 400 mm and 1500 mm. This makes the product solution unique in the large format market. Accordingly, the Crossbox can be used to pack both small products and heavy goods, for example for shipping by air freight. The benefits of the packaging solution for the customer are particularly clear in logistics-intensive areas: in addition to the significantly lower volume when transporting and storing the empty containers, the time required for erecting them is also reduced. The Crossbox also scores points from an ecological point of view.
After use in the reusable system, the single-material corrugated cardboard solution can be easily recycled.
