Transnova Ruf was founded in 1993 by Dr Klaus-Peter Ruf. Over the past 25 years, the company has evolved from a standard machine manufacturer for conventional carton packers and layer palletisers to a provider of primarily robot-based, customised automation solutions for end-of-line packaging processes.
The company consistently focuses on the enormous potential of robot technology for the realisation of flexible automation solutions. Today, on the basis of a modular construction kit concept individual design-to-order solutions can be realised.
„The fineness of our micro-modules and their scalability allows us to offer our customers a solution space that is unique in the industry,“ explains Dr Klaus-Peter Ruf, founder and Managing Director of Transnova Ruf GmbH. „From button batteries to cheese blister packs, bags of infusion solution, sports shoes and refrigerators - there is virtually no product category that we have not already automated. And the over 20 years of experience in robotics with currently approx. 200 integrated robots per year allow us today to offer a wide range of solutions for projects relating to Industry 4.0 production to be at the forefront,“ continues Dr Ruf.
Flexibilisation and automation
In his opinion, the market is demanding automation solutions that can implement individual requirements in a practical manner. „The total flexibilisation of the fully automatic packaging is the key today. Batch size 1 in the packaging process, fully automatic format changeover of the machine in just a few seconds, generation of freely configurable mixed packaging, fully automatic feeding of the packaging machine with materials - these are the benchmarks in our business today.“
