SIG and GE Digital cooperate: Optimising supply chains using data stream analysis

SIG, one of the leading system and solution providers for aseptic packaging, will be cooperating with GE Digital in future. The two companies agreed a strategic partnership in June. The aim is to promote digital innovations for food and beverage packaging.

The centrepiece of the agreement is that SIG will deploy the „Predix Asset Performance Management“ (APM) and „Predix ServiceMax“ solutions in more than 400 of its customers' production plants. Data stream analysis enables more accurate forecasts

SIG is realised with the help of the APM and „ServiceMax“ applications from GE Digital one Digital end-to-end platform build. This helps customers and SIG to predict, manage and maintain the entire life cycle of filling lines. The now much more complex data collection makes it possible, among other things, to redefine supply chains and improve quality control technologies.

Last year, SIG produced a total of 33.6 billion carton packs. The partnership with GE Digital also aims to generate innovative packaging solutions.
