With the new hall planning, FachPack 2018 is also expanding its supporting programme, with the new TechBox forum being added to the tried-and-tested PackBox forum. Here, topics from the fields of packaging and labelling technology as well as intra- and packaging logistics will be addressed.

Europe's industry meeting place for packaging, processes and technology is more than just a trade fair. In addition to the 1,500 exhibitors, over 40,000 trade visitors can look forward to an attractive supporting programme with numerous specialist lectures and special presentations on trends currently being discussed in the industry, such as digitalisation, sustainability and design.
What contribution can design make to a successful brand image? What are the trends in brand communication? What new materials and technologies are available for packaging? Questions like these are addressed in the newly occupied Hall 8 and a special show dedicated entirely to premium packaging, innovative materials, packaging printing and finishing.
FachPack 2018 supporting programme
In keeping with the design concept, Hall 8 welcomes visitors in a fashionable and elegant black and white look. Around 70 companies will be presenting their products and solutions here. In the centre of the hall is one of bavaria design The exhibition features around 30 innovative exhibits, including cosmetic jars made from Finnish spruce wood, olive oil in a crystalline sugar shell and a backpack-shaped paint bag with an integrated paint roller.

Growth in the box format
FachPack will also feature the Forum PackBox - this year in Hall 7, - whose presentations revolve around the topics of packaging materials, packaging printing, finishing and design.
Display
This is now complemented by the new forum TechBox. Intelligent packaging carriers, data security on packaging lines or digital offensive - these are just a few examples of topics from the programme of the new TechBox forum, which will take place on all three days of the trade fair in Hall 3. Renowned industry partners will share their knowledge in specialist presentations from the areas of Packaging and labelling technology and Intra- and packaging logistics and invite you to exchange expertise.

„Analogous to the reorganised hall planning in the two areas ‚Packaging and processes‘ and ‚Technology and processes‘ we also offer two thematically appropriate forums,“ explains the new Event organiser Cornelia Fehlner. We have them before the start of the fair in our interview about what they have already achieved, their goals and expectations.
Packaging associations under one roof
Also new at FachPack is the Pavilion of the European Associations Around ten interest organisations and associations from various European countries (e.g. Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, the Netherlands, Austria) will be presenting themselves in the special area and inviting visitors to get to know each other, exchange ideas and network.

The German Packaging Institute (dvi), Berlin, will also be represented. At the stand the award-winning products of the German Packaging Award will be on display. The German Packaging Award honours outstanding and innovative solutions from the entire packaging value chain in ten different categories. It is regarded as the most prestigious European competition for packaging and will be presented by the dvi on the first day of FachPack.
