Pöppelmann FAMAC®: Focus on recyclable pouch packaging

At this year's FachPack, the Pöppelmann FAMAC® division will be presenting, among other things, pouch packaging with shrink-wrapped spouts. The experts will also be providing information on current developments for greater sustainability in the food and pharmaceutical packaging segment as well as possible partnerships.

The Pöppelmann FAMAC® division, which specialises in solutions for the food and pharmaceutical industries, is working to develop fully recyclable plastic packaging.

As part of the PÖPPELMANN blue® programme, the Pöppelmann Group division from Lohne is committed to Sustainable alternatives, which combines recyclable materials with optimum product protection, packaging stability, marketing aspects and the regulatory requirements of certain industries.

An important component of the sustainability strategy is the Use of recycled material. A major challenge here is to combine the technically feasible solutions with the regulatory requirements that apply to food, for example. To this end, the division is in close dialogue with food manufacturers, retailers, researchers and recycling specialists. At this year's FachPack, the experts will be providing information on Current developments for more sustainability in the food and pharmaceutical packaging segment as well as potential partnerships.

Focus on recyclable pouch packaging

As a developer and producer of technical functional parts and modern packaging, the division will also be presenting a range of new products at FachPack. Pouch packaging with shrink-wrapped spouts. A particularly hygienic packaging concept stands for Optimum dosage and a Simplified handling. The weld-in spout is closed by a valve and only opens when pressure is applied to the actuating element.

This means that the product can be removed without air and retains its hygienic status even after the first opening. The weld-in spout series from Pöppelmann FAMAC® is characterised by a system with a guide groove, uniform dimensions and various opening diameters between 8.5 and 21.5 millimetres.

The larger diameters make it easier to remove and dose liquids or viscous and free-flowing substances. The packaging system is suitable for both the pharmaceutical and food industries.
