Pro Carton has appointed Andreas Birmoser as its new President. He is currently Executive Vice President, Paper & Board at Stora Enso and takes over from Michele Bianchi, CEO of the RDM Group, who has held the position for the last four years.

With over 20 years of experience in the forest and paperboard industry, Birmoser brings extensive international leadership experience in strategy, business development, and operational management. In his current role as Executive Vice President, Cartonboard at Stora Enso, he is responsible for the company's global cartonboard business. Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership positions across Europe and South America, including as CEO of Veracel Celulose, and played a key role in driving business transformation and sustainable growth.

„It is a great honour to take up the position of President of Pro Carton, particularly at such an important moment for our industry. Given economic uncertainties, changing regulatory frameworks and evolving market expectations, no single company can succeed on its own.“

Andreas Birmoser

Birmoser will work closely with the Pro Carton Board to strengthen collaboration along the value chain. A key objective will be to promote the benefits of fibre-based packaging and ensure that Pro Carton remains a trusted voice in shaping science-based and competitive policies.
