Andreas Helbig is the new Spokesman of the Board of the Folding Carton Industry Association (FFI). The Managing Director of Seda Germany GmbH was elected at the FFI's Annual General Meeting on 23 and 24 May 2019 in Berchtesgarden. Helbig replaces Steffen Schnizer, who held the position for six years and will continue to serve on the board as an ordinary member.
The new FFI Board Spokesman is 54 years old. Since 2016, he has held the management position at Seda Germany but has been with the company since 2013. During his professional career Andreas Helbig He worked for various renowned packaging manufacturers. Before moving to Seda Germany in Neuhaus an der Pegnitz, he was Vice President Sales and Marketing at Van Genechten in Belgium.
New Board of Directors and Advisory Board elected
In addition to the new Chairman of the Executive Board, eight other members of the Management Board of the FFI. The Deputy Spokesman of the Executive Board is Hans-Christian Bestehorn from the RLC packaging Group. Andreas Bader (Fr. Schiettinger KG), Jürgen Bichelmeier (Rack & Schuck GmbH & Co. KG), Dr Michael Faller (August Faller GmbH & Co. KG), Dr Harald Frank (Gebr. Frank GmbH & Co. KG), Harald Schulz (A&R Carton GmbH), Steffen Schnizer (Multi Packaging Solutions GmbH) and Nicole Weihe-Herms (Hannoversche Kartonagenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG) are also members of the Management Board.
The members also elected the members of the Advisory Boards new. The members of this committee are Thomas Eicker (WS Quack + Fischer GmbH), Heike Hellmann (Seufert Gesellschaft für transparente Verpackungen mbH ), Christian Oetker-Kast (Casimir Kast Verpackung und Display Gmbh), Dr Heribert Popp (FMS AG) and Dirk Sagolla (MM Packaging Caesar GmbH).

The Fachverband Faltschachtel-Industrie was founded in 1949. It represents the interests of more than 60 companies at over 80 locations. According to the association, FFI members represent around two thirds of the industry's turnover and produce around 871,000 tonnes of folding cartons per year. This corresponds to a production value of around 1.87 billion euros.
