Indus Holding AG from Bergisch Gladbach is acquiring a majority stake in the Kirchberg-based detection specialist. The investor Indus specialises in succession planning for medium-sized companies and long-term, sustainable corporate development. Operational management will remain in place for the next few years. As a subsidiary of Mesutronic Gerätebau GmbH, Mesutronic France SAS will also become part of Indus AG.
In over 25 years of company history, Mesutronic Gerätebau GmbH has experienced many stages of growth. The operative business began in 1993 with 5 employees. Today the company employs over 210 employees and sells systems in over 50 countries in the world; more than 40,000 units to date.
In order to secure this development for the future, the company owners, most of whom are still employed in the management of the company, decided to make long-term arrangements for the succession of ownership at an early stage.

Indus AG is an expert in taking over the succession of medium-sized companies and so-called „hidden champions“. Dr Johannes Schmidt (58), CEO of Indus AG, gives a clear statement on this:

The Group holds investments in 45 companies various sectors, including mechanical and plant engineering, medical technology and automotive engineering.

Mesutronic's operational management will remain in place for the next few years. Nothing will change in the area of customer and supplier relationships either.
