Fritsch was Founded in 1926 and has been owned by the fourth generation of the family ever since. Headquartered in Markt Einersheim, the company has developed into an innovative manufacturer in the field of bakery technology over the decades. In 2018, Fritsch generated a Turnover from about 80 million euros, The company employs approx. 600 employees. Fritsch filed for insolvency proceedings in mid-April. Fritsch is represented by its own subsidiaries in Russia, Poland, the USA and the UK, and also has a global network of sales and service partners to ensure proximity to its customers. The takeover will make Fritsch part of a strong group of companies and enable it to continue its business operations for the benefit of all stakeholders and, above all, its customers.
The integration of the company into the MULTIVAC Group is to begin immediately. The production and development of Fritsch products will continue at the site in Markt Einersheim. There Fritsch also has a Technology Centre, where customer tests and the development of customised products and formulations are carried out. The products will be sold via MULTIVAC's worldwide sales and service network.
To this end, the subsidiaries will continue to invest in the expansion of a sales team specialising in the bakery industry, so that in future they will be able to offer customers comprehensive solutions for the production and packaging of bakery products. In addition to the existing management, a MULTIVAC management team will be appointed to run the company, which will continue to manage and develop the Fritsch Group as an independent company.

The takeover of the Fritsch Group will take place with effect from 1 August 2019, subject to approval by the antitrust authorities.
