PlasticsEurope Germany has a new Head of Communications: Dr Matthias Müller took over as Head of Information and Communication at the association on 1 July 2019. Müller brings with him a range of experience from the chemicals and plastics industry: After training as an editor at Evonik Industries, he worked there in site communications at the Worms production site and was most recently responsible for external and internal communications at plastics processor Renolit.

Müller would like to further advance the association's media work and digital communication. In addition to the various online presences, such as the website launched together with the IK Industrievereinigung Kunststoffverpackungen e.V. „Newsroom plastic packaging“ social media will also play a more important role and networking with various stakeholders will be further intensified.

„The current public debate surrounding the topic of plastics represents a major challenge and offers excellent starting points for emphasising the diverse and sustainable applications of our material and thus contributing to an objective discussion. I am looking forward to this exciting task,“ says Müller.
