The packaging market is on the move. At the symposium „Future Resources 2019“ on 7 November 2019, experts from the retail, consumer goods and recycling industries will discuss ways to use packaging materials in a climate- and resource-friendly way.
Following the positive response in previous years, the organisers Organiser Interseroh and Deutsches Verpackungsinstitut e. V. (dvi) once again saw a high level of participation.
„Making packaging valuable - the message has reached the market,“ says Markus Müller-Drexel, Managing Director of INTERSEROH Dienstleistungs GmbH. „Companies have realised that they have to consider the recyclability of packaging right from the design stage - just as naturally as product protection, the advertising function or transport logistics.“

„Industry and retail have set the course for all packaging to be recyclable by 2025 and for plastic packaging in particular to consist of at least 50 per cent recyclates,“ explains Winfried Batzke, Managing Director of the dvi. „In this context, Future Resources has established itself as an important dialogue and exchange platform for the players in the packaging cycle. The important thing now is to take the necessary steps at every stage of the value chain and coordinate them with each other.“
Other high-calibre speakers included Prof Dr Josef Radermacher, pioneer of the eco-social market economy and member of the Club of Rome, and Sebastian Bayer, Managing Director Marketing and Procurement of dm-drogerie markt GmbH + Co. KG, and Kristin Buro, Bahlsen GmbH & Co. KG, could be won over.
