DTM Print, the international OEM and solution provider for speciality printing systems, is launching the new DTM FX810e film printer for finishing product labels with a width of up to 220 mm (8″). This industrial-grade film printing system for demanding tasks is the ideal addition to the existing product portfolio.
Just like its „little brother“, the FX510e, the new DTM FX810e unprinted or pre-printed labels with brilliant, shiny metallic or laminate accents. It does not matter whether the labels were pre-produced using inkjet, laser, LED, offset or flexographic printing. Fast and accurate single-colour printing for Adding simple texts or barcodes on pre-printed labels or for Printing single-colour labels is also possible.
The DTM FX810e has a Robust metal housing, an intuitively operable Colour touchscreen and can be connected via USB 2.0 and Ethernet 10/100. The maximum Print speed is 101.6 mm (4″) per second and the device uses DTM Print certified thermal transfer ribbons with a maximum width of 220 mm. It is recommended to select the ribbon width depending on the label design. This means that if the layout only covers 100 mm of the label, customers only need to use a 100 mm wide ribbon roll.
With the optionally attachable Guillotine cutter the printer can cut continuous, die-cut and reflective label material horizontally. This means that customers can also use this printing system to print larger rolls of pre-printed labels in handy label stacks to cut. A robust passive Label unwinder for rolls with an outer diameter of up to 254 mm (10″) completes the printing system.
From initial installation to full operation, the DTM FX810e Easy to operate. The scope of delivery includes the external processor, the Printer driver for Windows 7/10 also a 220 mm wide starter roller Black and four 100 mm wide metal colour ribbons (gold, silver, red and blue). The design software NiceLabel® Free 2019 DTM Edition (for Windows), with which simple label designs can be realised, completes the delivery. Of course, the printer can also be used with all other Windows-based label design programmes such as BarTender or graphics programmes such as Adobe Illustrator.
