The new snap-on foot from Hebotec for mounting on top-hat rails is easier to handle than previous versions of this inconspicuous yet important small part for control cabinet assembly. The Mössingen-based company will be presenting several versions of its new development at SPS 2019.
Combined with Shield clamps and a bracket for strain relief on both sides, the components bear the name SKHZZ.
The functionality shares Hebotec that the newly designed Snap foot is symmetrically shaped. It can be snapped onto a top-hat rail from both sides and levered out again with a slotted screwdriver using the slots, which are also present on both sides. The shield clamp is riveted onto a flat surface. The large contact surface ensures that interference currents are reliably dissipated.
Convenience when assembling enclosures
Hebotec promises switch cabinet builders a particularly high level of convenience when Assembling switch cabinets with the SKHZZ shielding clamps. This is because the components and cables must be arranged logically, clearly and in a space-saving manner. This is possible with the SKHZZ because the shield clamps on the snap-on foot are not only centred but also offset. Different snap-on feet can therefore be arranged particularly compactly on a top-hat rail - and even thick cables can be fastened close together. If the Multiclamps riveted onto the snap-on feet, a clamping range of three to 18 millimetre screen diameters can be covered with just two SKHZZ variants.
