AR Packaging takes over K+D and RLC Packaging

As part of its expansion strategy, the Swedish ÅR Packaging Group AB has acquired all outstanding shares in K+D AG and will also acquire all outstanding shares in rlc Packaging GmbH. With this strategic move, AR Packaging aims to take a leading market position in the healthcare, pharmaceutical and beauty sectors.

With the Acquisition of rlc Packaging and K+D AR Packaging will continue its current growth strategy. The Healthcare business of the Group comprises both cardboard-based as well as flexible packaging for customers in the pharmaceutical, medical and beauty industries in Europe and Asia.

K+D is an expert in pharmaceutical and cosmetics packaging and offers GMP-compliant, refined and tamper-proof carton solutions. The company is based in Switzerland, where it holds a market-leading position in the pharmaceutical packaging printing employs around 70 people.

rlc Packaging is an innovative Premium packaging manufacturer, which refers to High-quality folding boxes for the beauty, pharmaceutical, food and confectionery industries. The Group has four production sites in Germany and one in Switzerland. In addition, the Group owns a significant share of BSC Drukarnia Opakowań in Poland with two plants. The workforce consists of around 1,500 experienced employees. rlc Packaging has a strong market position in Central Europe, with a customer base made up of large and medium-sized companies.

The completion of the acquisition of rlc Packaging is subject to customary closing conditions. The parties have agreed that no financial details will be disclosed.
