ISL Group successfully acquired by Thimm Packaging Systems
The Thimm Packaging Systems division, which is part of the Thimm Group, has successfully completed the takeover of the ISL Group with the approval of the German Federal Cartel Office.

The Thimm Packaging Systems division, which is part of the Thimm Group, has successfully completed the takeover of the German ISL Group with the approval of the German Federal Cartel Office. As a result, the expertise in the field of reusable packaging made of multi-materials has been transferred to the Thimm Group. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
With this acquisition, the Thimm Group is expanding its solution portfolio in the area of reusable multi-material packaging.

The conditions for the integration of ISL into the family-owned company Thimm were excellent: Thimm Packaging Systems and ISL had been working together at different levels in a customer-supplier relationship since 2008 and ISL is also a family-owned company with a long tradition.

The expertise in the development and production of technical moulded parts and Packaging solutions made from expanded polypropylene (EPP) will thus become part of the Thimm Group. „The takeover will result in synergies in our target industries, from which our existing and new customers will benefit equally,“ informs Schliep continue.
