Sappi's virtual trade fair 2020 ended with over 6,500 visitors and more than 2,000 participants in a total of 720 minutes of live presentation sessions. The company presented new developments, outlooks and its current portfolio in the field of packaging and speciality papers. In addition to other opportunities for interaction, visitors also took advantage of the chance to get in touch with the sales team.

Under the motto Pro Planet: PaperPackaging - welcome to the new pack-age the market leader in functional paper packaging presented new solutions, including options for packaging food or non-food products in Sustainable and high-quality paper packaging. The company is thus making its contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Sappi presents innovative barrier papers at its virtual trade fair

With the Sappi Guard family the company presented barrier papers that make additional special coatings or laminations superfluous and can be recycled in the paper stream. With integrated barriers, they ensure that the product quality of food and other goods is maintained.

The virtual trade fair also celebrated the Second generation of barrier papers Premiere, which is even more ecological. Another focus of the virtual interpack was on sealable papers and papers for various flexible packaging applications for food and non-food products.

Of course, the trade fair will also be focussing on sustainability: Algro Nature is a home-compostable paper that meets the demand for fully recyclable packaging.

„We were overwhelmed by the success of our first virtual interpack, but are looking forward to the direct contacts in Düsseldorf again in spring 2021.“ Thomas Kratochwill, Vice President Sales & Marketing Packaging and Speciality Papers at Sappi Europe
