Faller Packaging has produced complete packaging for the Munich start-up iuvas' sippa drinking aid. The manufacturer of pharmaceutical secondary packaging supported iuvas from the planning and artwork to the production and packaging of all components.
Due to demographic change, the world's population is getting older on average. As a result, there are more and more people who are restricted in their movements. The Start-up iuvas has now developed sippa, a solution to a daily problem faced by carers. The drinking system allows the user to drink without having to lean their head back.
Sippa is the first product from iuvas
iuvas medical GmbH is a Munich-based company founded in 2017. It has set itself the goal of, optimise processes and materials in everyday clinical practice. Direct idea scouting by experts from the industry combined with professional product development and a strong partner network in the industry are the cornerstones of a sustainable business model. The Drinking aid sippa is the first product from iuvas and on the market since October 2019.
Numerous components integrated into the packaging
sippa consists of many different components that had to be combined and accommodated in one package. This process proved to be extremely complex. Among other things, the Ideal fit for the instructions for use in the folding box. In addition Inlays for the best possible product positioning be designed. The safety of the drinking system during transport was also an important criterion. In addition, there was a great deal of time pressure due to the tight schedule for the product launch, which meant that delivery times and supply chains for all packaging components had to be closely coordinated.

Faller Packaging produced the complete packaging for this and supported iuvas from the planning and artwork through to the production and packaging of all components. At the start of the project, the specialist's development department gained an overview of all the individual parts to be packaged. The experts worked out possible solutions and optimised the entire packaging piece by piece.
Joint success of the Faller Group
The practical realisation was a real joint success for Faller Packaging. The Large folding box with automatic bottom was produced at the company's headquarters in Waldkirch, Baden. The Integrated use as a special design and the two small inner folding boxes were manufactured by the Subsidiary PackEx in Worms, which specialises in individual solutions in small quantities. Another plant in Binzen in southern Baden contributed the packaging inserts, which as Outserts in the small folding boxes.
All Artwork of the sippa packaging took over the Global Centre of Packaging Excellence, Faller Packaging together with the Irish Perigord Premedia Ltd. has founded. Faller was also fully responsible for the coordination and realisation of the assembly and packaging process. Everything had to run smoothly, as the product launch was already imminent. 20 different sales items had to be precisely coordinated in the individual packaging steps.
Everything from a single source
Faller Packaging supported iuvas with a perfectly coordinated process and was able to minimise time, effort and costs for the packaging as a full-service provider. The start-up not only received all packaging components from a single source, but also benefited from reliable and punctual delivery and the high quality of Faller products.
