Syntegon Viersen becomes Hansella

The Swiss Rotzinger Group AG is taking over the German site in Viersen and a large part of the product portfolio manufactured there from packaging specialist Syntegon Technology GmbH.

Specifically, the mechanical engineering company Rotzinger is acquiring the portfolios in the following areas Filling and capping machines and Parts of the process technology for bars and sugar confectionery. Syntegon Technology GmbH Viersen is home to company divisions such as development, design, production, assembly, sales and service.

Completion of the sale is subject to the approval of the relevant antitrust authorities. The transaction is expected to be finalised by the end of the year. Following the takeover, the plant will revert to its former name of HANSELLA GmbH accept.

Excluded from the sale are the process plants for Production of jelly products. Syntegon intends to transfer this product line to its subsidiary Makat Candy Technology GmbH. In future, it will have a site in the Viersen region.

Syntegon's business in Viersen has grown out of the Hansella GmbH emerged. The specialist for high-quality machines for the confectionery industry was founded in 1921. In 1966, Hansella took over the packaging division of Robert Bosch GmbH.

However, Rotzinger also expects synergies with new solutions in the area of other process, filling and sealing machines.
