Combidome packaging aims to conquer UK market for plant-based drinks

British contract packer Framptons has been the first company in Europe to fill plant-based drinks in Combidome packaging from SIG since the start of 2021.

The British contract packer Framptons has positioned itself as a specialist for trendy drinks over the past ten years. Since the beginning of 2021, it has been the first company in Europe to fill plant-based drinks such as smoothies in Combidome packaging from SIG. To this end, SIG and Framptons have installed a Combidome filling machine, the first in the UK.

In the UK, the past five years have seen a veritable boom in the Boost in innovative beverages have been recorded. It is therefore hoped that the carton bottle Combidome from SIG will be a key to the successful market launch of smoothies, juices and plant-based milk drinks in the future.

This is an option for established brands, but also for private labels and start-ups. At Combidome, beverage manufacturers from three different filling volumes to bring their products to market at different price positions.

Resource-saving Combidome packaging

The Combidome carton bottle offers consumers convenient handling. A single-action screw cap allows easy opening and pouring. The cardboard packaging is fully recyclable and is largely made from FSC-certified raw cardboard. It can also be offered with an optional packaging material in which the polymers used are also fully linked to renewable wood-based materials.
