Rovema has acquired the two companies Inno-Tech and Prins Verpakkingstechniek and Engineering. The packaging machine manufacturer is thus strengthening its expertise in stainless steel machines for the food industry.

Rovema acquired the two companies Inno-Tech and Prins Verpakkingstechniek and Engineering (Prins) on 1 March 2021. The packaging machine manufacturer is thus strengthening its expertise in stainless steel machines for the food industry, while also aiming to acquire new customer groups.
Inno-Tech specialises in vertical stainless steel packaging machines for the food industry and technical applications. The company focusses on the European market. With a focus on the area of Frozen food and the Production of bulk packsspices and pet food, for example, the Reiskirchen-based company, which was founded in 1992, complements the product portfolio of Rovema. The additional production area in Reiskirchen will be used specifically for the manufacture and assembly of stainless steel machines. This means that Production optimisation in the immediate vicinity of the Rovema headquarters in Fernwald.

Expanding the network with Inno-Tech and Prins
Prins Verpakkingstechniek is specialised in the Distribution of packaging machines and offers after-sales services. The company, based in Veenendaal in the Netherlands, is Inno-Tech Trading partner for Benelux. With the acquisition of Prins, Rovema is aiming for full market penetration in this sales region. Under the leadership of Rovema Benelux Managing Director Christel Geerts, the core business is to be supplemented with a special focus on sales and service expertise. According to the company, all employees at the locations in Reiskirchen and Veenendaal will be taken over.

For manufacturers of packaging machines, the increased interest from consumers in sustainable packaging solutions great opportunities for differentiation. Completely new packaging concepts and the development of new market segments are possible. From Rovema's point of view, vertical packaging offers a wide range of approaches to conserving resources, for example in terms of saving packaging materials.
