Güse GmbH is expanding its portfolio in the field of sustainable labelling solutions and is now offering not only labels made from renewable raw materials but also hard-wearing picture labels made from stone paper.
The picture pegboard labels of the new Ideal S Stonepaper product family from Slurry are characterised above all by a better environmental balance compared to conventional paper, PE and PVC labels. This is because the material is 60 per cent from marble mining waste (calcium carbonate) and 40 per cent from bioplastics (HD polyethylene). No crude oil, wood or paper, bleach, acid or water are required in its production. The labels are currently available for a total of 86 plant varieties.
Stone paper labels for flower beds and gardens
The company Slurry offers picture labels in the standard format 54 x 138 mm. They have been specially developed for plant labelling in humid environments are water-repellent, moisture-resistant and temperature-resistant in temperature ranges between plus 65 degrees and minus 40 degrees Celsius. With a material thickness of 350µ, they offer comparable stability to labels made of PE, HDPE or PVC film. They can be easily attached to the rim of the pot in the slot provided or - depending on their nature - inserted directly into the soil of the planter.
Each label can also be Printed and finished can be used. The front shows a real photo of the plant, the product name and easy-to-understand pictograms that visualise the most important information about the product. The reverse side lists the plant characteristics and also offers sufficient space for useful additional information on plant care. The stone paper is characterised by a Safety certificate for the labelling of foodstuffs and is therefore also suitable for edible herb and vegetable plants.
