New top management at Schur Flexibles

The Austrian packaging company Schur Flexibles is under new management. The former COO Juan Luís Martinez Artega is now at the helm as CEO. The new CFO is Mathias Breuer. He moved from Semperit AG Holding to Schur Flexibles. Both new appointments follow the confirmation of Marek Pawlak as CSO, which completes the change in management.

Juan Luís Martinez Arteaga has been Chief Operations Officer since 2018 and is responsible for the entire production and procurement area of Schur Flexibles responsible. Under his leadership, the Centre of Excellence concept of the European production sites has been expanded in terms of innovative capacity and technological expertise as well as in the area of sustainability. The native Spaniard brings Many years of management experience thanks to his international management career He has worked in the global packaging, building materials and automotive industries, where he held top management positions at companies such as Saint-Gobain and Constantia Flexibles. Mathias Breuer, a financial expert with industry experience, has been recruited for the position of CFO. Breuer was until recently CFO of the Sempermed division of Semperit AG Holding.

With these two appointments and the long-term confirmation of Marek Pawlak as Chief Sales Officer, the reorganisation of the Group's management has been completed. Marek Pawlak is an internationally experienced manager, who has worked for the Schur Flexibles Group and its predecessor companies for around 30 years and was recently appointed CSO. In his many years at Schur Flexibles he has contributed significantly to the further development of the Group. With his extensive management expertise, he most recently realised successful growth steps for the group as Sales Unit Head and previously as Managing Director of several production sites of the Schur Flexibles Group.
