The company utilises this natural binder Grown.bio to use: Not only packaging, but also design objects and even insulation panels grow in moulds there.
Currently, hemp hurds are mainly used as recycled waste material, as hemp binds four times more carbon than wood. During production, growth requires a minimum amount of energy. This results in a total of CO2-negative product. Thanks to the exclusively natural ingredients, products and packaging can be 100 per cent recycled, according to the company. home composting and decompose at the end of the life cycle. The process utilises mycelium composite technology, which was developed and patented by Ecovative Design in the USA.
