The Würzburg-based company Koenig & Bauer is relocating the site of its Spanish subsidiary Iberica to the town of Gavà near Barcelona. At the new location, the company plans to expand production with new assembly processes.
In March, the entire Koenig & Bauer Iberica team moved from its previous location in El Prat de Llobregat near Barcelona to Gavà, 15 kilometres away. Here, the company has two large assembly halls, a modern warehouse and two open, light-flooded mezzanine floors with office space. The new production facility is also conveniently located for international visitors: it is only ten minutes away from the airport. The journey to the centre of Barcelona takes around 20 minutes.
New spaces, new possibilities
Koenig & Bauer Iberica is planning a significant expansion of production at the new site. To this end, new assembly processes are to be implemented that can be easily integrated into the layout of the two halls with their six crane systems. Space is also available for training courses and demonstrations of modern stamping technology. The new environment will enable the company to further develop its potential, increase productivity and fulfil new goals and market requirements.

Founded in 1940, the company specialised in the manufacture of automatic flatbed die-cutters in 1965. Iberica has been part of Koenig & Bauer since 2016. Within the group of companies, Iberica is responsible for the development, production, sales and service of medium and large-format flatbed die-cutters for cardboard and corrugated board packaging.
