Tricor takes over Thimm Packaging Systems

Tricor takes over Thimm Packaging Systems from the Thimm Group and creates a new business unit with Tricor Packaging Systems.

Tricor Packaging & Logistics AG. is expanding its strategic product portfolio and acquiring Thimm Packaging Systems from the Thimm Group. A new independent division is being created under the name Tricor Packaging Systems.

Tricor announced that Rengo, the Japanese parent company, had released the funds for the takeover. Thimm Packaging Systems is a leading supplier of Multi-material packaging with seven locations in Germany and one location in the Czech Republic.

„With the acquisition of Thimm Packaging Systems, we are further expanding our strategic product portfolio and emphasising our growth ambitions in Europe. The acquisition enables us to extend the benefits for our customers in terms of security of supply, customer proximity and multi-material expertise. With the claim „The best packaging solution for your products“, Thimm Packaging Systems develops customised packaging systems as well as efficient multi-material solutions made of heavy-duty corrugated board in combination with wood and padding made of PU, PE and PP foams, which will help us to secure future growth. We welcome the employees of Thimm Packaging Systems to our team and look forward to contributing to Tricor's success with their expertise.“

The two companies have been co-operation partners for many years.
