If shipping parcels are closed manually by employees, this can cause difficulties. On the one hand, employees can injure themselves when lifting parcels filled with heavy products. Secondly, the process can be more inefficient if, for example, more than one person is needed to seal the parcel. However, companies want efficient processes and preferably also sustainable ones. Food manufacturer Berief Food has optimised its packaging process with a carton sealing machine from Evers GmbH.
The food manufacturer from Beckum develops and produces organic plant-based products, such as drinks, tofu, ghurts and cooking creams, directly at its own site in the heart of Münsterland. The The company's sustainable thinking and actions are also reflected in the shipping of its products.
With the carton sealing machine from the Evers GmbH can be a higher throughput of parcels achieved, thus increasing efficiency are made. The ergonomics are also improved, which benefits the employees, for example with packages for natural tofu blocks from Berief Food. There is space for six of the blocks in a pack, bringing the weight of the pack to twelve kilograms. Previously, parcels were sealed manually by one or sometimes two employees.

Employees of the food manufacturer also benefit from an ergonomic improvement in their day-to-day work.
More sustainability with paper adhesive tape
The carton sealing machine is also used to seal the packages. New sustainable adhesive tape used. The original PVC adhesive tape has been replaced by a Replaces unmixed paper machine adhesive tape. A natural rubber adhesive ensures good shear strength and closure security.
