
Together with 21 other companies, Südpack has made it to the final round of the Baden-Württemberg Environmental Award. The company received a certificate in the category "Industrial companies with more than 250 employees".
For the 20th time, the coveted environmental award for notable achievements of companies in the field of environmental and climate protection and sustainable management by the state of Baden-Württemberg. This year South pack with its comprehensive sustainability roadmap, its projects relating to operational environmental protection and, in particular, its sustainability successes to date in the area of internal recyclables management - and reach the final round.
The critical jury, made up of representatives from business organisations, scientific institutions, environmental and nature conservation associations, trade unions, the LUBW State Institute for the Environment and the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Environment, presents the award each year in recognition of the different ways in which the award is used, innovative approaches by companies in terms of sustainability. For this, all applicants must not only have a broad fulfil the requirements profile, but a comprehensive application marathon with intensive interviews plus a company tour run through.
"For many years, we have been investing heavily in our structures, processes and technologies in order to keep existing plastics in the cycle and recycle them sensibly. Our internal recycling management with our own regranulation and compounding as well as our commitment to CARBOLIQ, a pioneering chemical recycling technology, are essential components of our sustainability strategy. The fact that we have come so far with the environmental award is both a well-deserved reward and an incentive for future projects."

The awards and certificates were presented to the winners and nominated companies at a ceremony in the White Hall of the New Palace in Stuttgart on the afternoon of 1 December. Südpack was represented by Carolin Grimbacher, Valeska Haux, Vice President Strategic Marketing, and Lisa-Marie Schmidberger, Manager CSR & Sustainability. The team was accompanied by Mr Andreas Denzel, Mayor of the town of Ochsenhausen.
