Change at the top of the Green Dot

Michael Wiener joined Der Grüne Punkt - Duales System Deutschland GmbH in 2006 as Head of Sales and subsequently took on various roles within the Group as Managing Director. Since 2015, he has been CEO of DSD - Duales System Holding GmbH & Co. KG and thus the group of companies with Der Grüne Punkt. Wiener was largely responsible for building up the recyclates business with the Systalen brand, In addition to implementing the further restructuring of the Group in a market characterised by intense competition, he managed the takeover by Circular Resources and thus initiated the expansion of the product range to include chemical recycling.

In August 2022, Circular Resources fully acquired Der Grüne Punkt. Circular Resources is a company that was founded with the aim of, to close the plastics recycling loop for the benefit of brand owners. Laurent Auguste, CEO of Circular Resources, will take over the management of the holding company.
