This is exactly what Bluhm Systems The Legi-Flex 6100 3D labelling gantry is one of the products tailored to the needs of this market. It is now available as a PID or SLAM version. PID stands for Product Identification and applies pre-printed labels for serialisation purposes, for example. SLAM stands for Shipping Label Alignment Module. This variant is suitable for applying individually printed shipping labels. The label printer dispenser dispenses with the time-consuming alignment of products along a reference edge. It uses a camera to determine the position and volume of cardboard boxes and bags on the conveyor belt and precisely adjusts the applicator accordingly (Fig.).

The Legi-Flex 6100 labels up to 60 parcels per minute or 3,600 parcels per hour at high speed. Labelling is contactless using the TampBlow process without mechanical stress on the products to be labelled. The solution from the full-service provider is therefore also suitable for use with particularly sensitive products.
