J. Schmalz develops systems for automated and manual handling with vacuum in order to grip and palletise bags, cans, jars or cardboard boxes safely and gently. The company will be showcasing a balanced mix of vacuum components, complete systems and handling devices.

The topic of sustainable vacuum automation Lard with its electric compact pump GCPi. It generates the required vacuum purely electrically, making the gripper and robot independent of compressed air. In combination with the electric 3/2-way compact valve LQE, the compressed air-free vacuum system achieves the same level of performance as conventional ejector solutions.

The gripper innovations include the PSPF bellows suction pad for the automated handling of bags that tend to wrinkle. The sealing lip is particularly soft and adaptable, while the bellows is reinforced. Both components are firmly connected to each other, enabling them to seal optimally and at the same time follow the dynamics of particularly fast packaging processes.

The ZLW lightweight layer gripper picks up entire layers of jars or cans. Its own weight is so low that it hardly costs a cobot any load capacity.

Three times Jumbo, three times thought differently. Even heavy loads can be lifted safely and ergonomically with a tube lifter from the jumbo series. The specialists will demonstrate which version is suitable for which application: The JumboSprint 65 can be easily placed on sacks, buckets or canisters thanks to the all-round operating handle, the JumboErgo 85 is ideal for flat objects and the JumboFlex 35 impresses not only with its dynamics but also with its clever additional functions. For example, the weight control version lifts and weighs loads in a single movement (image). All three vacuum lifters have been awarded the AGR seal of approval.
