The sustainability measures of Konica Minolta are embedded in an interlinked ESG strategy (Environment, Social, Governance). Within this strategy, the company has committed itself to make a positive contribution to its own environmental impact and that of its customers and partners.
Since 2015, „climate-compensated printing“ has enabled more than 30,000 tonnes of CO2-emissions in Europe. This programme also supports customers in offsetting unavoidable greenhouse gas emissions caused by printing in office and production operations. The programme also contributes to the creation of a climate-neutral company. measures that promote the reduction of emissions in the manufacture of printing systems.
Since 2005, this has reduced emissions by 108,000 tonnes of CO2 be prevented worldwide. Four Konica Minolta production plants have already achieved „Sustainable Factory“ status. Remote services, i.e. visual remote support for customers, have also made it possible to save around 310,000 kilometres of travel by 2023 and thus 140 tonnes of CO2-emissions can be saved on average in Europe.
„We are proud of this award! In addition to recognising our efforts to make technologies sustainable and environmentally friendly, this award above all stands for the clear commitment in our market to work with our customers to use existing resources as sparingly as possible. With our Mobile Work concept, for example, we have been able to save numerous journeys to and from the office, significantly reduce on-site technician visits with remote service offers and make it much easier for our customers to participate in our Clean Planet programme for taking back toner cartridges with our eCommerce portal.“Joerg Hartmann, Managing Director of Konica Minolta for Germany and Austria
