Weber Maschinenbau GmbH Breidenbach will become Weber Food Technology GmbH with effect from 1 January 2024. This will make the company's identity directly visible in the company name: The focus is on the development and provision of solutions for food processing, in particular for fresh food with a critical shelf life.
Food producers around the world are constantly driving forward the automation of their production and are demanding that they obtain processing and packaging lines from a single source. Machine and plant manufacturers in the food industry must also adapt to this and adjust accordingly. Weber Maschinenbau has responded to this development over the last few years. with a comprehensive transformation from machine manufacturer to solution provider The company has responded, positioned itself more internationally and placed the needs of customers even more strongly at the centre of all activities and developments.
The next step is now the logical consequence of this transformation in the form of a name change: Weber Maschinenbau GmbH Breidenbach becomes Weber Food Technology GmbH. Especially in the Sliced meat production and packaging Weber has established a leading position within the industry, but has continuously expanded its portfolio in recent years to include solutions for other areas such as piece goods, snacks and convenience products.
Nevertheless, the name change marks a significant milestone in the company's development: In future, the Weber Solution portfolio even more broadly positioned to serve additional markets and expansion on a global level is also a central component of Weber Food Technology's strategic orientation. The new name reflects this focus and strategy.
„Our drive is to help customers worldwide achieve their goals and ensure the supply of food to the population. Providing solutions for processing and packaging fresh food is our mission and remains our commitment to customers and society as a partner to the food industry.“
Tobias Weber, CEO of Weber Food Technology GmbH
In the course of the renaming the Textor brand, under which slicers and other line components were previously sold, into Weber. „Although our line solutions consist of different components, they are more of a networked and connected unit. Developing and marketing individual components as our own brand no longer corresponds to our holistic approach as a complete solution provider,“ says Tobias Weber, explaining the decision. However, the Wolfertschwenden site is and will remain an important development and production site within the Weber Group and the products developed under the Textor brand will also remain part of the Weber portfolio.
