At Anuga FoodTec, Multivac will be showcasing the expansion of its portfolio of cross web labellers for the first time. The new CL1 model is suitable for thermoforming packaging machines and can be integrated into existing machines.

The CL 1 cross web labellers offer an economical option for the majority of common requirements for precise and reliable labelling and are therefore a cost-effective alternative to the high-performance CL 2 models.

„By using tried-and-tested solutions that we can draw on from our many years of experience in this area, the new model series is quickly ready for labelling and designed for rapid batch changes. For example, we use proven technology from the successful CL 2 models, such as the label sensor, the dispensing edge and the paper brake. This means that the new model series also guarantees efficient day-to-day production. It can be conveniently operated via the Multivac HMI user interface - directly via the terminal of the Multivac thermoforming packaging machine, but also with its own operating terminal on systems from other manufacturers.“

The new models can apply labels up to a width of 150 millimetres precisely and gently onto the label. Top and bottom of all types of packs apply labels. The optimally designed and precisely adjustable label guide requires fewer deflection rollers than other available market solutions. A rewinding roller with plastic link chain ensures quick and easy removal of the rewound liner, and the flanged discs for fixing the label rolls can be released and removed with one hand. In addition, the Machines linked to all standard printing technologies be used. The thermal transfer printer Multivac TTO and the Multivac TIJ thermal inkjet printer, for example, can be seamlessly integrated into the control system and user interface, including the storage of label data, print images and variable data directly in the product recipe.

The new cross web labellers are designed for a Safe cleaning and quick maintenance designed. The Pulleys are hygienically sealed and can be removed without tools. The feed roller with counter-pressure roller can also be cleaned easily and is accessible without tools. Like a Multivac thermoforming packaging machine on which the cross web labellers are used, the new models can be wet-cleaned safely and thoroughly in accordance with protection class IP 65.
