At this year's ProWein, Berlin Packaging presented new wine bottles that have been developed with the expertise of its design and innovation department Studio One Eleven and are lighter than their predecessors.
For the newly developed Postumia (75 cl), for example, the traditional Burgundy bottle has been further developed and now has an elongated cylindrical neck that merges into the angular shoulder. According to the manufacturer, sustainability-orientated innovation is the driving force behind the new Cassia Evo and Appia Evo bottles, which have also been redesigned to reflect the to meet the requirements of European markets that favour lighter solutions. In response to customer requests, Berlin Packaging has therefore developed the new Cassia Evo 750, which reduces the weight by 150 g compared to the traditional version. The high-shouldered Bordeaux model is now also available in 37.5 and 100 cl sizes thanks to an expansion of the range. The sleek and modern design of the Appia Evo is also available in a new version that is 100 g lighter than the previous version.

At this year's ProWein, visitors were also able to see the collaboration between Berlin Packaging and its partner ProCork. The closure manufacturer specialises in natural corks that are tailored to the different requirements of wines. A special membrane enables the correct passage of oxygen molecules and thus guarantees the perfect preservation and maturation of the wine.
