The Supervisory Board of thyssenkrupp Rasselstein GmbH has appointed Clarissa Odewald as Chief Sales Officer and Chairwoman of the Executive Board of Germany's only tinplate manufacturer with effect from 1 July 2024. She will take over from Dr Peter Biele, who is moving to the management of HKM (Hüttenwerke Krupp Mannesmann GmbH) in Duisburg.
Clarissa Odewald has been Head of Overseas Sales at thyssenkrupp Rasselstein for several years. Before moving to Andernach, she held various positions in purchasing and sales at thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG in Duisburg since 2007. She was responsible for the procurement of raw materials and overseas logistics and was in charge of sales management for the entire Steel business segment. Thanks to her wide-ranging experience, Odewald has a Broad expertise on the strategy, customer and market side and stands for continuity in corporate management.
After eight successful years at Rasselstein, Peter Biele was asked to take over the management of HKM, in which thyssenkrupp Steel holds a 50 per cent stake.
