The Pöppelmann company group is expanding its leadership team: Bernd Moormann will be appointed to the management board on 1 July 2026. At the same time, Matthias Lesch will leave the company on 30 June 2026.
The 45-year-old mechanical and industrial engineer Bernd Moormann has been working for Pöppelmann since 2017. Most recently, as Head of the K-Tech Division, he was responsible for the automotive sector as well as group-wide supply chain management and the technology and service division. In the future, he will lead the corporate group together with Norbert Nobbe and Christian Schwarck.
Matthias Lesch is leaving the company after 24 years. He had been with Pöppelmann in various roles since 2001 and, according to the company, particularly shaped the areas of internationalisation, marketing, innovation, and the circular economy.
Family business sees continuity secured
„Matthias Lesch has made a significant contribution to Pöppelmann's success over the past 24 years. We thank him for his extraordinary commitment and wish him all the very best for the future,“ said Shareholder and Supervisory Board Chair Catherin Vitale on behalf of the shareholder families.
Matthias Lesch stated on his departure: „After 24 years at Pöppelmann, I leave with great gratitude. It was a great gift to be able to work with and help shape this unique team. Pöppelmann is successful because of its people – and will continue to be so in the future, I am very confident about that. I wish them all the best for this.“
The shareholders state that, in their opinion, the company is well organised for the future. The responsibilities within the management team are clearly defined. Together with the employees, the aim is to continue on the current course as a family business, according to Catherin Vitale.
